Cebu Condo Launches First EV/PHEV Charging Station

The launch of the first EV/PHEV charging station within a residential condominium in Cebu is seen as a testament to the growing attention of communities towards environmental sustainability and alternative transportation.

Inauguration Ceremony

Citylights Gardens Condominium formally inaugurated its EV/PHEV charging station on May 20, 2026. The facility features four charging stations available for residents who own electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. The ceremony was attended by condominium officials and property management, who witnessed the ribbon-cutting after a blessing led by Fr. Gino Godinez.

Community Efforts

According to residents and community leaders, the project is part of ongoing efforts to improve facilities that respond to the changing needs of urban living and promote more responsible energy use. The initiative is also expected to inspire other residential communities in Cebu to explore ways to reduce pollution and support cleaner modes of transportation.
