The Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 arrested 446 individuals during a week-long regional law enforcement operation against illegal drugs, wanted persons, illegal gambling, and loose firearms from May 31 to June 6, 2026.
Drug operations yield significant seizures
According to PRO 7 data, various police units apprehended 216 individuals as part of their intensified anti-illegal drug campaign. Authorities also seized 797.57 grams of shabu, with a standard drug price of PHP 5,423,476.
Manhunt operations net 113 wanted persons
PRO 7 intensified its manhunt operations against fugitives, resulting in the arrest of 113 wanted persons, including 21 most wanted persons and 92 other wanted individuals facing various serious and minor cases. These arrests aim to deliver justice to their victims.
Anti-gambling and loose firearms operations
In the campaign against illegal gambling, police arrested 108 gamblers and confiscated PHP 14,198.00 believed to be proceeds from illegal gambling. Operations against loose firearms also yielded results, with 30 violators arrested and 51 unlicensed firearms and one grenade seized, which could have been used in criminal activities if not confiscated.
Additionally, police confiscated over 100 firearms of various calibers, now in the custody of respective police units. Appropriate charges have been filed against those responsible.
