Early Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at around 2:30 AM, a drunken man looking for a fight and engaging in a brawl was found with an illegal firearm and ammunition in Barangay Ibo, Toledo City.
Suspect Identified
The suspect, Patrick Rubin Gutang, 38, single, a resident of Barangay Ibo, Toledo City, is now detained at the Toledo Police Station. He is facing charges for alarm and scandal and violation of Republic Act 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearms).
Incident Details
Gutang was reported to authorities after residents sought police assistance due to his drunkenness, belligerence, and involvement in a brawl. When police arrived, he resisted instead of complying with their orders.
During handcuffing and a body search, authorities discovered a .38 caliber improvised revolver (paltik) with two live rounds in his pocket.
