Taiwanese Manufacturer Kaixin International Secures Two-Year Lease Extension in Clark

In a significant move highlighting sustained investor confidence, Kaixin International Corporation (KIC), a Taiwanese manufacturer specializing in screen-printed components for global footwear and handbag brands, has officially extended its lease with the Clark Development Corporation (CDC). The two-year extension was formalized during a signing ceremony held on April 14, 2026, at the Clark Visitors Center, marking a continued commitment to the region's economic growth.

Strategic Agreement Signed by Key Officials

The lease agreement was signed by CDC President Agnes Devanadera and KIC Corporate Secretary Josie Lee, solidifying a partnership that has been in place since 2015. Devanadera emphasized Clark's pivotal role in driving regional economic development, noting the area's contributions to investor retention and job creation. "We are all in the right place, and I hope we continue to take care of Clark. In terms of the economy, we believe Clark has contributed significantly to the growth of Pampanga," she stated, underscoring the positive impact of such investments.

KIC's Substantial Investment and Employment Impact

Since establishing operations in Clark nearly a decade ago, KIC has invested approximately ?32 million in its local facilities and currently employs more than 140 workers. The company produces screen-printed panels for renowned international brands, including Coach and Disney, with processing conducted at its Clark facility before final assembly by partner companies. According to KIC Human Resource Officer Cathelyn Dizon, this setup enhances efficiency and supports the local workforce.

Clark's Position as a Competitive Manufacturing Hub

KIC is among ten locators that secured lease agreements with CDC in the first quarter of 2026, a trend that CDC highlights as evidence of robust investor confidence. The corporation asserts that this reinforces Clark's status as a competitive manufacturing and export hub, attracting businesses that contribute to economic stability and expansion. The extension not only benefits KIC but also bolsters the broader Pampanga economy through sustained employment and industrial activity.

This development aligns with ongoing efforts to position Clark as a key player in regional trade and manufacturing, with companies like KIC playing a crucial role in maintaining its growth trajectory. The continued partnership between KIC and CDC is expected to foster further economic opportunities and solidify Clark's reputation as a prime destination for international investors.
