DICT Turns Over Bayanihan SIM Cards to Pampanga Students

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Region 3 has turned over Bayanihan SIM cards to Pampanga Governor Lilia Nanay Pineda. These SIM cards are intended for students in the province, particularly those from indigent families.

Details of the Bayanihan SIM Program

DICT Central Luzon Regional Director Antonio Padre stated that each Bayanihan SIM card includes a monthly internet allocation of 25GB. This allocation is regularly renewed by the agency. The primary goal of the program is to support online learning, research, and communication among students who may not have reliable internet access.

The DICT emphasized that this initiative is part of its broader efforts to expand internet access for students, especially those living in remote communities with limited connectivity. By providing these SIM cards, the agency aims to bridge the digital divide and ensure that students can continue their education effectively.
