Xavier University Student Tops March 2026 Electronics Engineers Licensure Exam
In a remarkable achievement, a student from Xavier University in Cagayan de Oro City has secured the top position in the recently concluded March 2026 Electronics Engineers Licensure Examination. According to official documents released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Carl Vincent Plarisan Malinao led the cohort of new engineers with an impressive rating of 93.80%.
Top Performers and National Rankings
Following closely behind, Kenneth John Pesimo Cayaga from Pamantasan ng Cabuyao claimed second place with a score of 93.70%. The third position saw a tie between Joselito Riego Ramento Jr. of the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman and Adrian Neville Timado Soquita of Mapua University – Manila, both achieving a percentage of 93.50%.
Other notable achievers include Lexther Romel Paloma Kimpo of the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) – Visayas in fourth place with 93.40%, and Emmanuel Caguicla Nieva of Ateneo de Naga University in fifth place with 93.30%.
Strong Regional Representation and University Performance
The official list highlights a robust presence of universities from various provinces across the country. Among those making it to the top 10 are representatives from Mindanao State University (MSU) – Gen. Santos City, Batangas State University – Alangilan, and Cagayan State University – Tuguegarao, showcasing the widespread excellence in engineering education.
Meanwhile, major universities in Metro Manila maintained a strong performance, with UP Diliman and Mapua University – Manila each contributing three candidates to the top 10 list. The overall results have been approved and publicly announced by the PRC, which commended all successful passers who will now be recognized as full-fledged Electronics Engineers.
