Childlink's Annual Play 'The Olympian Linker' Showcases Talent and Honors Community in Cebu City
A 29-year-old educational institution, Childlink Learning Center and Childlink High School, recently presented its highly successful annual theatrical production, titled "The Olympian Linker," at the Guang Ming Theater located on V. Rama Avenue in Cebu City. The event was held in celebration of National Arts Month, drawing a diverse audience of students, faculty members, parents, and community partners for an inspiring showcase of artistic talent and educational excellence.
Dynamic Performances Highlight Filipino Pride and Olympic Themes
The play featured a series of vibrant performances that captivated attendees. It opened with the Childlink Chorale delivering a heartfelt prayer, setting a solemn and uplifting tone for the evening. Following this, preschool learners took the stage with an energetic gymnastics dance routine, demonstrating their budding skills and enthusiasm.
The All-Girls Dance Club then performed a high-energy number inspired by the popular song "Girl on Fire," adding a modern and empowering flair to the production. Filipino pride was prominently displayed as the Linker Rondalla Ensemble rendered beloved traditional tunes, including "Pista sa Nayon," celebrating local culture and heritage.
Embracing the Olympic spirit, the play included a rendition of "You and Me," the official theme from the Beijing Olympics, performed to evoke a sense of global unity and athleticism. The High School Linkers followed with an electrifying dance performance that energized the crowd and highlighted the students' dedication and teamwork.

A key segment of the play involved the song "Go the Distance," performed by Clinton Toting, which served to recognize and honor various individuals and groups for their ongoing support. Notable organizations acknowledged included the Zonta Club of Cebu 2, Cebu Normal University, and the Cebu Filipino-Chinese Volunteers Fire Brigade.
