Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac provided encouraging news about the injured worker's condition during a television interview. The OFW had been admitted to the intensive care unit due to carbon monoxide inhalation but has since stabilized and is progressing toward full recovery.
Search Continues for Missing Filipino National
While one worker recovers, concerns remain for another Filipino national. Secretary Cacdac confirmed that one overseas Filipino worker is still unaccounted for following the deadly blaze. "That is the report. But we don't know for sure about her exact whereabouts. So the search continues," Cacdac stated, emphasizing the ongoing efforts to locate the missing individual.
The Department of Migrant Workers has maintained close communication with both affected families. "We are in touch with their families here in the Philippines," Cacdac assured, highlighting the government's support system for families during this difficult time.
