A Quezon City policeman was arrested for his involvement in a viral hit-and-run incident. The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) confirmed that the suspect, a Police Staff Sergeant assigned to the Quezon City Police District Mobile Force Battalion, is now in custody and facing both criminal and administrative investigations.

In a widely circulated video, the policeman was seen pushing a fellow motorcycle rider while traveling along C5 Road in Pasig City. The victim fell to the ground, sustaining minor injuries. The suspect fled the scene without providing any assistance to the injured rider.

NCRPO Director Major General Anthony Aberin emphasized that the Philippine National Police (PNP) holds all its members accountable. "The PNP does not have favorites when it comes to accountability. Whether the suspect is a civilian or a member of our own organization, the law applies equally. Misconduct will not be tolerated; it will be confronted," Aberin stated. He assured the public of a thorough and transparent investigation into the matter.
