P69.9M Shabu Seized, 2 Arrested in Bohol Buy-Bust

Authorities in Bohol have dealt a massive blow to the illegal drug trade with the seizure of shabu worth approximately P69.9 million and the arrest of two suspects in a late-night operation in Tagbilaran City.

Major Drug Sting Nets High-Value Targets

The successful buy-bust operation was conducted by the Bohol Police Provincial Office-Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) at around 11:06 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. The operation took place in Purok 2, Barangay Dampas, Tagbilaran City.

Police apprehended their primary target, Felix Gallogo, 39, a driver and resident of Purok 4, Barangay Camnanico in Valencia, Bohol. His alleged accomplice was identified as Leonie Lambuson, 47, who hails from GK Sision, Magdaong Drive, Poblacion, Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila.

Intelligence Work Leads to Successful Operation

The operation was launched after PIU personnel received credible reports about the arrival of a large shipment of illegal drugs in Tagbilaran City. This prompted intensive intelligence monitoring, which ultimately led to the identification of the suspects.

After gathering sufficient evidence, a buy-bust was meticulously planned and executed. The operation was led by Police Lieutenant Colonel Joemar Pomarejos, head of the PIU, in collaboration with the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit under Police Lieutenant Noubell Padernal. They coordinated with the Tagbilaran City Police Station under the overall supervision of Police Colonel Patricio Degay Jr., chief of the Bohol Police Provincial Office.

Massive Haul and Evidence Collected

The operation resulted in the confiscation of 10,285.6 grams of shabu, with an estimated standard drug value of P69,942,080. This represents one of the largest drug hauls in the province recently.

In addition to the illegal drugs, operatives also seized several pieces of evidence, including:

  • A cellphone used in the transaction.
  • The marked buy-bust money.
  • An eco bag that contained the shabu packages.
  • One Isuzu MU-X vehicle believed to be used in the illegal activity.

The two suspects are now under the custody of the Bohol Police for further questioning and the filing of appropriate charges. All seized evidence has been forwarded to the PNP Forensic Unit in Bohol for thorough examination and to build a solid case for prosecution.

This major operation underscores the continued vigilance and coordinated efforts of law enforcement agencies in Bohol to combat the proliferation of illegal drugs in the region.
