BCPO Director Coronica Implements Reshuffle of 7 Police Station Commanders
Bacolod City Police Reshuffle Affects 7 Station Commanders

Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) Director Colonel Joeresty Coronica has ordered a reorganization of leadership within the city's police force, affecting the commanders of seven different stations.

New Assignments for Station Commanders

The change of command was formalized during a turnover ceremony held at the BCPO gymnasium on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. Colonel Coronica personally announced the reassignments, which are part of a minor reshuffling initiative.

The specific movements include several key posts. Police Captain Francis Depasucat, formerly of Police Station 1, was replaced by Captain Efren Legada. At Police Station 3, Captain Rondy Tapang was succeeded by Captain Andro Ma-apni.

Furthermore, Captain Hazel Oropel of Police Station 5 handed over command to Captain Ramie Sayson. The leadership of Police Station 6 transitioned from Captain Rosalino Pugoy to Captain Peter John Ramos.

The reshuffle also impacted three other stations:

  • Police Captain Jay-r Reyes will take over Police Station 7 from Captain Dax Santillan.
  • Captain Sherwin Galupar will assume command of Police Station 8, replacing Captain Greeky Cayao.
  • Captain Genus David will lead Police Station 10, taking the place of Captain Glenn Montaño.

A Three-Month Deadline for Results

Colonel Coronica set a clear and firm expectation for the newly appointed station commanders. He stated they have been given a three-month period to deliver tangible results in their new assignments.

Failure to meet performance standards within this timeframe could lead to their relief from post. This directive underscores the BCPO leadership's focus on accountability and effective policing.

Reasons Behind the Organizational Move

According to Director Coronica, the reshuffling addresses several organizational needs. For some officers, the move is related to upcoming schooling commitments.

For others, it is part of the regular rotation process after serving nearly two years in their previous posts. This rotation is intended to bring fresh perspectives and prevent stagnation within the force's leadership structure.

During the ceremony, Coronica reminded all police officials to execute their duties with dedication, professionalism, and integrity. He urged them to give their best in their new roles.

He emphasized that excellence in service and building a strong reputation are critical for strengthening public trust and confidence in the Bacolod City Police.

The BCPO director also reaffirmed the organization's commitment to leadership development and organizational effectiveness, ensuring the continuous delivery of quality police service to the people of Bacolod.
