A violent altercation between security guards has resulted in the arrest of a head security guard in San Fernando, Cebu, after he allegedly assaulted his colleague without provocation.

Violent Attack After Duty

The incident occurred around 6:00 PM on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Sitio Luknay, Barangay South Poblacion in the municipality of San Fernando. According to police investigation, the victim, identified only by the alias Donie, 35, was preparing his motorcycle to go home after his duty when the suspect suddenly approached and punched him three times without sufficient reason.

The suspect has been identified as a head security guard known by the alias Ronron, 38, who resides in Barangay Dumlog, Talisay City and has a live-in partner. The attack left the victim with multiple facial injuries and severe bruising.

Police Operation and Arrest

Following the assault, fellow security guards immediately intervened and separated the two individuals. However, the suspect quickly fled the scene, prompting authorities to launch a hot pursuit operation.

The San Fernando Municipal Police Station successfully apprehended the suspect after their pursuit operation. During police investigation, the suspect claimed that the victim was very complainative at their workplace, which allegedly caused their argument.

Legal Consequences

The suspect now faces physical injury charges for his actions. The case highlights the importance of conflict resolution among security personnel and the legal consequences of workplace violence.
