Pampanga Police Designate 40 Fireworks Zones for Safe New Year 2026
Pampanga Sets 40 Fireworks Zones for Safe New Year

Authorities in Pampanga have taken proactive steps to ensure the upcoming New Year's Eve celebrations are both joyful and safe. The Pampanga Police Provincial Office has officially established a network of designated areas where residents can legally light firecrackers and watch fireworks displays.

Comprehensive List of Designated Zones

According to the police directive released on December 30, 2025, a total of 40 specific areas have been set up across the province's towns and cities. This initiative is a direct response to the annual risks of injuries and fires associated with revelry.

The plan creates two types of zones: 24 Community Firecracker Zones (CFZs) for personal use and 16 Fireworks Display Areas (FDAs) for organized public shows. The provincial police emphasized that some towns have established more than one zone to accommodate their populations.

Locations for Safe Celebrations

The identified CFZs are spread throughout numerous municipalities. Residents can find these zones in Apalit, Minalin, Arayat, Porac, Bacolor, San Fernando, Candaba, San Luis, Floridablanca, San Simon, Lubao, Sasmuan, Magalang, Sta. Ana, Masantol, Sta. Rita, Mexico, and Sto. Tomas.

Meanwhile, the 16 Fireworks Display Areas include locations in major areas like Mabalacat and San Fernando, alongside several first- and second-class towns within the province. The police are urging the public to consult official advisories from their local stations or the Pampanga PPO for the precise locations in their area.

Strict Enforcement and Penalties

The police have issued a stern reminder that the use of firecrackers and pyrotechnics is strictly prohibited outside of these designated zones. This rule will be rigorously enforced to maintain public order and safety.

Violators of this policy face serious consequences. Individuals caught using fireworks in unauthorized areas may be slapped with fines of up to 20,000 pesos. Furthermore, they risk imprisonment ranging from six months to one year, as stipulated by relevant laws and local ordinances.

A Call for Responsible Revelry

The primary goal of this large-scale designation is to drastically reduce the number of fireworks-related injuries and prevent destructive fires. By channeling celebrations into controlled environments, authorities aim to protect both people and property.

Pampanga Police are encouraging everyone to celebrate responsibly. They advise the public to fully comply with all safety rules within the zones, supervise children at all times, and use only approved firecrackers. This collective effort is key to ensuring that the New Year's festivities remain a happy and injury-free occasion for all Kapampangans.
