Panabo City Forges Strategic Path for Future Investments
The Panabo City Local Investment and Incentives Board has successfully completed an intensive three-day workshop to develop the city's Investment Promotion Roadmap for 2026-2030. This crucial planning event, organized through the Panabo City Economic Development and Investment Promotion Center (PCEDIPC), took place from November 9, 2025, at the Royal House Hotel and Dormitel in Tagum City.
Collaborative Workshop Drives Economic Vision
The comprehensive workshop brought together key stakeholders and equipped participants with advanced strategies for investment promotion and local economic development. Gelyn S. Llana, Senior Trade-Industry Development Specialist from the DTI-Davao Regional Office, served as the primary resource speaker, providing expert guidance and facilitating strategic discussions.
Attendees included prominent figures such as City Mayor Jose E. Relampagos, who led the Local Investment and Incentive Board delegation. Other participants included City Development Council chairperson Libertad V. Regis, City Environment and Natural Resources Officer Engr. Felix Jonases Senajon, and City Legal Officer Atty. Chervin Paculanang.
Building a Foundation for Sustainable Growth
The forthcoming Investment Promotion Roadmap will establish a clear framework of strategies, programs, and activities designed to attract both domestic and foreign direct investments. According to Acting Investment Promotions Officer Michael Angelo A. Resueño, these strategic investments serve as key drivers for local economic growth.
"These strategic investments are key drivers of local economic growth," Resueño explained. "They create employment opportunities, stimulate local businesses, and increase government revenues, ultimately building a stronger, more inclusive, and sustainable economy for all of Panabo City."
The workshop featured action planning sessions that fostered collaborative and strategic thinking among stakeholders. Representatives from various city offices and organizations participated, including the City Planning and Development Office, City Treasurer's Office, and the Panabo Bankers Association.
The initial draft of the roadmap will now undergo refinement before submission to the City Development Council. The final document will be endorsed to the Sangguniang Panlungsod for official adoption, positioning Panabo City as a prime destination for sustainable and high-impact investments in the coming years.
