From April 11 to 15, 2026, law enforcement personnel demonstrated heightened vigilance and efficiency in their efforts to curb crime and maintain public order in the city.

Drug Busts and Firearms Surrender Highlight Anti-Crime Drive

Focusing on the illicit drug trade, police conducted 12 separate operations that led to the apprehension of 12 individuals. Authorities confiscated approximately 12.38 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P84,184. This significant haul underscores the ongoing battle against narcotics in the region.

In a related development, one citizen voluntarily surrendered two firearms to authorities, contributing to the reduction of loose weapons in the community. This act of cooperation highlights the collaborative approach between police and residents in enhancing safety.

Wanted Persons Captured and Ordinance Violations Addressed

The crackdown also netted 13 most wanted persons and regular wanted individuals, marking a major success in apprehending those evading justice. Beyond these high-profile arrests, the LCPO rigorously enforced city ordinances, issuing 513 traffic citations and collecting fines totaling P292,500 from 559 operations.

Additional violations were tackled, with 94 arrests for smoking in public places, 170 for public drinking, 260 for curfew breaches, and 49 cases of public indecency. These measures reflect a comprehensive strategy to address both major and minor infractions.

Police Lt. Col. Ardioleto Cabagnot, Officer-in-Charge of the LCPO, expressed satisfaction with the diligence of his team.
