The two drug personalities apprehended during the operation have been identified by PDEA 7 Director Joel Plaza as alias Raffy, a 37-year-old vendor from Sambag 1, who was the primary target, and his accomplice, alias Harold, a 28-year-old janitor from Lamac, Consolacion City. Authorities seized 21 large packages of suspected shabu weighing 550 grams, with an estimated average market value of P3.74 million. Additionally, four mobile phones and buy-bust money were recovered and are now in the custody of PDEA 7.
Investigation and Legal Proceedings
According to Leia Alcantara, information officer for PDEA 7, the agency conducted a three-week case buildup on Raffy after receiving information about his illegal activities. An informant stated that the suspect was capable of selling one kilogram of shabu per week. Intelligence personnel are currently tracing the source of the shabu from the arrested individuals to facilitate follow-up operations. The suspects have been detained at the PDEA 7 detention facility in Sityo Sudlon, Barangay Lahug.
Charges are being prepared for violations of Section 5 and 11, Article II, Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
