This coordinated effort across the region has led to the arrest of 118 individuals and the seizure of P41,975 in bet money, underscoring a robust law enforcement campaign.

Intensified Operations Yield Substantial Results

Police Brigadier General Josefino Ligan, the director of PRO 6, praised the operating units for their dedication and highlighted the importance of sustained enforcement. He emphasized that these intensified operations demonstrate a firm commitment to upholding the law and safeguarding communities from the detrimental impacts of illegal gambling. General Ligan urged the public to remain vigilant and continue reporting suspicious activities to enable swift and decisive police action.

Regional Breakdown of Arrests and Confiscations

Detailed records reveal that the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) spearheaded the efforts with 16 anti-illegal gambling activities, resulting in 31 arrests. Following closely, the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) conducted 10 operations, also leading to 31 arrests. The Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) contributed with seven operations and 26 arrests. Additional police units across Western Visayas carried out the remaining operations, collectively contributing to the total tally of arrests and confiscated funds.
