Two Most Wanted Arrested in Cebu City Operations

Two individuals considered as "Most Wanted Persons" were successfully arrested by police in separate operations in Cebu City on April 27 and April 30, 2026.

At 6:00 a.m. on April 30, at Tupas St., Brgy. Sawang Calero, a mother identified as Jona Gonzales Cabije, also known as Jona/Jonalita, 47, and a resident of Cavan St., Barangay Pasil, was apprehended.

According to Police Captain Noah Añana, chief of the Sawang Calero Police Station, Cabije was arrested through a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Ma. Lynna Pacamalan Adviento of RTC-7 Branch 58 on December 4, 2023.

It was learned that she had been involved in illegal activities for a long time, having been first arrested for selling drugs on September 7, 2016. She was also arrested on April 14, 2026, for possession of illegal drugs.

Meanwhile, on the afternoon of Monday, April 27, the Sawang Calero Police also served a warrant against Junjie Gonzales Yotoro, alias Pipong, 22, who is currently detained at the City Jail Male Dormitory in Barangay Kalunasan.

Yotoro, identified as the Top 8 Most Wanted in their area, faces a murder charge in connection with the killing of victim Vincent Payusan Alcazar on September 10, 2025, at the corner of JM Basa and C. Padilla St., Barangay San Nicolas.

The warrant against Yotoro was issued by Judge Van Russel Inopiquez on April 8, 2026, with no bail recommended for his temporary release.

Currently, both accused are in the custody of the law while awaiting the next court order for their cases.
