Contrary to earlier speculation, Joshua Munzon will stay with the Titan Ultra Giant Risers for the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Season 50 Governors' Cup, which begins on Friday, July 10, 2026, at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.
Trade Talks Fall Through
The former No. 1 overall pick was the subject of trade discussions following the previous Commissioner's Cup. However, no deal was finalized, triggering an automatic extension of Munzon's contract with the Giant Risers through the end of the Season 50 Governors' Cup.
Among the teams that expressed interest in Munzon were the San Miguel Beermen and TNT Tropang Giga, but negotiations failed to reach a final agreement.
