The 2027 FIBA Women's Asia Cup will be held at the new state-of-the-art SM Seaside Arena in Cebu City, marking the first time the Philippines will host the prestigious basketball competition.

The official announcement was made during a press conference on Wednesday at SM Seaside City, attended by Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) President Ricky Vargas, SBP Executive Director Erika Dy, Philippine Sports Commission Chairman Patrick Gregorio, and Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival Sr. The event also unveiled the tournament's new logo, which symbolizes FIBA's principles and Cebu's culture.

FIBA Asia President Dr. K. Govindaraj stated, "The FIBA Women’s Asia Cup 2027 provides a platform for the fans in the Philippines to witness the best of women’s basketball right in their own country and for the global fans to experience the passion for the sport in the Philippines."

The Gilas Pilipinas Women, currently ranked No. 20 in the world, will defend their territory in the tournament scheduled for July 10-18, 2027.
