The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has officially recognized Converge ICT Solutions Inc. as the provider of the fastest and most consistent fixed broadband service in the Philippines. This conclusion is based on comprehensive data gathered in December 2025.
DICT Data Crowns Converge as Speed Leader
Under its nationwide "Oplan Bantay Signal" monitoring program, the DICT analyzed results from nearly 700,000 speed tests. The data revealed that Converge achieved an average speed of 193.61 megabits per second in Metro Manila, a figure that combines both download and upload performance.
DICT Secretary Henry Aguda emphasized the significance of these results. "Converge ICT's performance sets the national benchmark for fixed broadband excellence," Aguda stated. He added that the company proves high-quality fiber service can be delivered consistently across the country's diverse landscapes.
Beyond Speed: Reliability and Recognition
The report highlighted that Converge not only logged the highest average speeds but also recorded an optimal average latency of 10.67 milliseconds. This low latency is crucial for seamless real-time online activities like video conferencing, competitive gaming, and using cloud services.
Converge Chief Operations Officer Benjamin Azada responded to the findings by underscoring the company's dual focus. "Beyond these metrics of upload and download speeds, we are actively improving our network for increased reliability and consistency in performance," Azada explained. He also confirmed the company dedicates an annual budget specifically for network expansion and system repairs.
This government assessment aligns with earlier accolades from third-party firms. Notably, Ookla had already named Converge the country's fastest fixed network in the first half of 2025, also awarding it for best video and gaming experience.
A Commitment to Continuous Improvement
While celebrating the top ranking, Converge leadership acknowledged the DICT report also serves as a guide for improvement. Azada noted that the agency provided a balanced view, pointing out specific areas needing attention. "We recognize this call and we pledge to focus our attention on these areas experiencing low or intermittent connectivity," he committed.
Secretary Aguda connected Converge's performance to broader national goals. He stated that such service excellence supports the government's Digital Bayanihan initiative, which aims to make reliable internet accessible to every Filipino, thereby expanding opportunities in education and entrepreneurship.
Throughout the recent holiday season, Converge's technical teams continued maintenance and repair operations to ensure customers remained connected with their families, highlighting the ongoing effort behind the network's reliability.
