Telecommunications giant Globe Telecom has maintained its commitment to supporting communities severely impacted by Typhoon Tino through rapid network repairs and the establishment of multiple assistance sites across the Visayas and Mindanao regions.

Network Restoration Progress

According to the company's latest update, services have been fully restored in Palawan, while 97.5% of the Visayas region now has operational connectivity. Technical teams remain deployed across affected areas to ensure complete network recovery.

The provinces that have achieved complete network restoration include: Aklan, Antique, Biliran, Bohol, Capiz, Eastern Samar, Guimaras, Northern Samar, Siquijor, Negros Oriental, and Iloilo.

Community Assistance Initiatives

To support residents during the recovery period, Globe has activated numerous Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging, at Libreng WiFi (LTLCW) sites. Key locations include Talisay City National High School, Consolacion Municipal Building, and Liloan Municipal Plaza in Cebu.

Additional free charging stations have been set up in areas such as Danao, Buenavista, and Bacolod, providing essential power access for communication devices.

Relief Distribution Efforts

Through partnerships with Brigadang Ayala and Ayala Foundation Inc., relief distribution continues in severely affected areas including Talisay, Cebu City, and Negros Occidental. More than 2,000 families have received food packages and essential assistance to help them recover from the typhoon's impact.

Globe maintains close coordination with local government units to provide additional support to communities as they continue their recovery journey following the natural disaster. The company's comprehensive response demonstrates its commitment to serving Filipinos during times of crisis.
