Fuel Subsidy Distribution for PUV Drivers in Cebu City
Under the leadership of LTFRB 7 Director Abosamen Matuan, the Fuel Subsidy Cash Assistance was distributed to public utility vehicle drivers affected by the ongoing rise in oil prices. The event took place yesterday, May 22, 2026, at their office in Barangay Lorega-San Miguel, Cebu City.
More than 400 Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) drivers received their fuel subsidy from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) 7 on Friday, May 22, 2026. The beneficiaries include qualified drivers of taxis, public utility buses, vans-for-hire, school transport, and others. Each driver received P5,000 as fuel subsidy to help cope with the high prices of petroleum products due to the conflict in the Middle East.
As the distribution continues, the LTFRB 7 office announced that the requirements include the original driver’s license, three photocopies of it with signature, or a Temporary Driver’s License.
