85 Healthcare Workers Regularized in Cebu

Governor Pamela Baricuatro has sworn in 85 staff members of the provincial hospital, who are now officially regular provincial healthcare workers this year.

Mass Appointment Announced

Province Health Office (PHO) Head Sheila Faciol confirmed the regularization on Monday, May 18, 2026. The mass appointment includes promotions for 19 employees who already held permanent positions and regular plantilla positions for 66 former job-order workers.

Distribution Across Hospitals

These workers will serve in four provincial and 12 district hospitals across the province. Faciol described the move as a great honor and milestone for the provincial government.

The appointees include 27 doctors, three of whom were appointed as chiefs of hospital for district facilities in Badian, Barili, and Oslob. The provincial government distributed the remaining doctors to the following facilities: Cebu Provincial Hospital (CPH)-Balamban (8 doctors), CPH-Bogo (7 doctors), Tuburan District Hospital (2 doctors), Daanbantayan District Hospital (2 doctors), Oslob District Hospital (2 doctors), Badian District Hospital (1 doctor), Barili District Hospital (1 doctor), and Mariano Jesus Cuenco Memorial Hospital in Malabuyoc (1 doctor).

Other Regularized Workers

Regularized workers also include 15 nurses, 1 dentist, 2 midwives, 1 radiologic technologist, 5 medical technologists, 5 pharmacists, 3 nutritionists, 2 social welfare officers, and 24 support personnel.
