P10.8M Shabu Seized in Cebu City Buy-Bust

The Special Operation Unit 7 of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group seized over two kilograms of suspected shabu valued at P10.8 million during a buy-bust operation conducted at around 1:41 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, along C. Padilla Candido Street in Barangay Duljo Fatima, Cebu City.

The suspect was identified as Laurence Tolibas Sinadhan, 50, a resident of Sityo Laguna B. Aranas Extension, Barangay Duljo Fatima. Operatives recovered one large pack and six smaller packs of suspected shabu, weighing a total of 1,600 grams with a standard drug price of P10,880,000.

The seized evidence has been submitted to the PNP Forensic Unit 7 for chemical analysis.

According to the investigation by PNP SOU 7, the suspect had been under surveillance for nearly a year after his name appeared on the target list as a high-value individual. Based on the suspect's statement, he could sell one to three kilograms of shabu every two days.

The supply of illegal drugs was owned by a person deprived of liberty at the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) in Barangay Kalunasan. The suspect acted as a warehouse keeper and also delivered the shabu to customers under the orders of his mastermind inside CPDRC. His distribution area covered the entire cities of Cebu, Mandaue, and Lapu-Lapu.

The police are preparing to file charges against the suspect for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165.
