PWD Injured in Billiard Bet Brawl in Cebu City

An 18-year-old Person with Disability (PWD) was hospitalized after being struck on the head with a billiard cue by another PWD during a game in Reyes Compound, Barangay Inayawan, Cebu City on the evening of May 15, 2026.

The victim, identified as Clint Pacaña, sustained a head wound, while the suspect, Nonito Cagampang, 48, who is also a neighbor of the victim in the area, was quickly arrested.

According to the investigation by the Inayawan Police Station, Pacaña and Cagampang agreed to a P600 bet on their billiard game. However, during the game, the victim kept losing and allegedly refused to pay the agreed bet.

Enraged, the suspect grabbed the billiard cue and struck the victim on the head. The suspect was immediately subdued by witnesses through a citizen's arrest and turned over to responding police officers.

Cagampang is currently detained at the Inayawan Police Station and will face charges of physical injury.
