The year 2026 began with a significant milestone for BOF, as the homegrown rural bank officially opened its newly transformed Candaba Branch on January 5. The blessing and inauguration ceremony marked more than just a reopening; it symbolized the bank's confident evolution and deepening commitment to its communities in Central Luzon.
A Branch Reborn: Three Decades of Service
Originally established in 1998, the BOF Candaba Branch in Poblacion, San Agustin has been serving clients for nearly thirty years. This location is the 8th branch within BOF's expanding network of 22 branches across the region. Its comprehensive renovation and rebranding reflect the institution's deliberate and steady progress, modernizing its facilities while staying true to its roots.
Leadership and Community Gather for Milestone
The event was graced by BOF's top executives, demonstrating the importance of this branch to the bank's strategy. The leadership present included President and CEO Paolo David Carlos, Director and Immediate Past President Susan David-Nunga, Senior Executive Vice President Jaime P. Panganiban, and Executive Vice President Rona Q. Binuya.
They were joined by key officers from various bank groups, such as Aiza Marie L. Vergara and Annette G. Tongol, alongside Grace D. Castro and Zabrina David Nunga.
The occasion also enjoyed strong support from local government and regulatory figures. Candaba Vice Mayor Thelma C. Macapagal attended with members of the Sangguniang Bayan ng Candaba and San Agustin Brgy. Captain Billy Pamintuan. Candaba Municipal Administrator Daniel Gallardo and Atty. Rhod Michael A. Leyson, Acting Area Director of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas San Fernando, were also present and shared congratulatory messages for the bank and its clients.
Commitment to a Sustainable Future
In his address, President and CEO Paolo David Carlos underscored a major feature of the renovated branch: its dedication to environmental sustainability. He announced the installation of a 12-kilowatt peak hybrid solar panel system designed to power the branch operations with clean, renewable energy.
This move positions the Candaba Branch as a model for BOF's forward-thinking approach, blending community service with ecological responsibility.
As BOF advances through 2026, the revitalized Candaba Branch stands as a physical testament to the bank's impact and its nurtured progress. It reaffirms the bank's role as a space where genuine growth is cultivated, firmly anchored in a vision for a sustainable and prosperous future for all its stakeholders.
