Landbank Strengthens National Presence with New Phygital Branch in Initao and Multiple Facilities

Landbank has significantly broadened its reach across the Philippines with the inauguration of a new phygital branch in the Municipality of Initao, Misamis Oriental, alongside several other facilities nationwide. This expansion effort, which concluded in December 2025, reinforces the bank's commitment to enhancing access to essential financial services, particularly in underserved communities.

Nationwide Expansion Initiative Concludes 2025

Throughout December 2025, Landbank launched a series of new facilities in key growth areas, marking a strategic push to bring banking services closer to Filipinos. The Initao Branch in Misamis Oriental opened on December 12, followed by the Tanjay Branch-lite in Negros Oriental on December 15, and the Glan Branch in Sarangani on December 19. Additionally, the bank inaugurated the Bayombong Branch in Nueva Vizcaya and the Pagudpud Branch-lite in Ilocos Norte on December 22. Complementing these branches, Landbank also opened the Isabela Corporate Center, which strengthens its operational footprint in Northern Luzon.

Landbank President and CEO Lynette V. Ortiz emphasized the importance of this expansion, stating, "By expanding our touchpoints, Landbank continues to ensure that financial services remain accessible, inclusive, and responsive to the evolving needs of our clients—especially in the countryside. These new facilities reflect our sustained commitment to empower local economies and support national development."

Enhancing Financial Access with Phygital Banking

The newly inaugurated facilities extend Landbank's presence across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, enabling the bank to serve a diverse clientele, including farmers, fishers, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), employees, and local government units (LGUs). Aligned with Landbank's digital transformation initiatives, these branches and branch-lites are designed to deliver a "phygital" banking experience, integrating physical service points with digital innovations.

Key features of these modern facilities include:

  • Automated teller machines (ATMs) for convenient cash transactions.
  • Digital onboarding systems to streamline account setup.
  • Enhanced queuing mechanisms to reduce wait times.
  • Other technology-enabled services that ensure faster, more convenient, and secure transactions.

Through this expanding network, Landbank continues to support various government programs, such as social protection disbursements, salary loans for employees, and credit assistance for priority sectors, thereby contributing to inclusive growth and countryside development.

Comprehensive Banking Services and Future Plans

Landbank's full-service branches offer a comprehensive range of banking services for individuals, businesses, farmers, and fishers. In contrast, branch-lites are smaller, streamlined facilities that provide key deposit and government disbursement services in underserved areas. The corporate center serves as a one-stop shop, housing various banking and financial services under a single roof while supporting regional operational, administrative, and service delivery functions.

As of December 2025, Landbank operates an extensive nationwide network, including:

  1. 615 branches and branch-lites.
  2. 3,268 Landbank ATMs.
  3. 3,882 ATMs in partner 7-Eleven convenience stores.
  4. 236 cash deposit machines (CDMs).
  5. An extensive network of 1,001 Landbankasama partners nationwide.

This infrastructure reaffirms Landbank's role as a trusted partner in nation-building through accessible, efficient, and inclusive financial services for Filipinos.

Looking ahead to 2026, Landbank plans to further advance financial inclusion by opening 15 new branches and branch-lites across the country. This initiative will focus on bringing accessible and responsive banking services to communities with limited access to financial services, ensuring that more Filipinos can benefit from modern banking solutions.
