Clark Freeport Zone Poised to Become Philippines' Premier Digital and AI Hub

The Clark Freeport Zone is rapidly emerging as one of the Philippines' major hubs for digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence, according to recent announcements from the Clark Development Corporation (CDC). This development aligns with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s agenda to strengthen the nation's digital backbone, marking a significant step forward in the country's technological advancement.

Support for National Digital Infrastructure Initiative

CDC President Agnes Devanadera has expressed strong support for the Converge National Digital Infrastructure, which was officially launched in Angeles City. This initiative aims to accelerate digital transformation and connectivity through expansions in data centers, fiber backbones, and subsea cable networks. The state-run corporation emphasized that this program is crucial for enhancing Clark's role in the global data supply chain.

In 2025, the CDC recorded P83 million in approved investments in the information and communication technology (ICT) industry, underscoring the growing economic impact of digital projects in the region. With a whole-of-government push for digital infrastructure gaining momentum, the Freeport is prepared to host more data centers through public-private collaborations, as highlighted by the CDC.
