Filinvest's Shared Services Arm Clinches Prestigious Asian Management Excellence Awards
Filinvest Business Services Corporation (FBSC), the dedicated shared services division of the Filinvest conglomerate, has achieved remarkable recognition at the Asian Management Excellence (AME) Awards 2026. The organization was honored with two significant accolades: Philippines Team of the Year – Business Services and Philippines Executive of the Year – Business Services. The latter award was presented to Perdasille Carlos-Mesina, the Senior Vice President and Managing Head of FBSC, highlighting her exceptional leadership in the field.
Rigorous Evaluation by Southeast Asia's Top Industry Experts
The awards were conferred following a meticulous and comprehensive evaluation process conducted by a distinguished panel of judges from across Southeast Asia. This panel included senior leaders and experts from globally renowned firms such as Ernst & Young, KPMG, Deloitte, PwC, and Roland Berger. Their assessment focused on performance metrics, innovation, and overall impact within the business services sector, making FBSC's dual victory a testament to its excellence.
Outstanding Performance in First Full Year of Operations
These honors celebrate FBSC's impressive achievements during its inaugural full year of operations. The organization has demonstrated significant advancements in efficiency, governance, and capability building. This success stems from the strategic integration of shared services across multiple business units of Filinvest, one of the Philippines' largest and most influential conglomerates today.
Key Milestones and Operational Excellence Under Leadership
Under the adept guidance of Perdasille Carlos-Mesina, FBSC has surpassed industry benchmarks with remarkable speed. The organization achieved a Service Reliability Index of 92.7 percent, exceeding the acceptable 90 percent standard typically expected for stabilized shared service operations. Notably, while similar shared services transformations often require three to five years to reach key milestones, FBSC accomplished these within just nine months.
The consolidation efforts involved integrating over 400 employees from various Filinvest business units into a unified shared services structure and operating model. This consolidation covered critical functions including Finance, Human Resources, and Corporate Administration. Through strategic initiatives such as value stream mapping, continuous improvement workshops, and pilots in artificial intelligence and automation, FBSC has streamlined processes, boosted productivity levels, and elevated service delivery standards.
Driving Digital Transformation and Innovation
In addition to these operational improvements, FBSC is spearheading a major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) modernization project. This initiative involves an Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP transformation, which aims to create a centralized digital backbone for the Filinvest Group. This digital infrastructure is designed to enhance data accuracy and support more informed decision-making across the entire organization.
Anchored in a Unique Service Philosophy and Collaborative Culture
FBSC's success is deeply rooted in its distinctive 4Ms Service Philosophy, which emphasizes:
- May Malasakit (Genuine Care and Commitment)
- Maaasahan (Reliable)
- Madaling Kausap (Easy to work with)
- Mahusay (Excellent)
This philosophy, combined with a strong collaborative spirit and a bayanihan culture—reflecting communal unity and cooperation—has enabled FBSC to deliver accelerated results through innovative operational practices. The awards not only recognize past achievements but also set a high standard for future performance in the business services industry.
