Radisson Blu's Crystal Celebration: 15 Years of Shining Excellence
On December 16, 2025, the Radisson Blu Cebu hosted its "Shining Through" Crystal Year Anniversary Gala, commemorating a decade and a half of providing world-class hospitality. The festivities officially commenced with the ceremonial lighting of a magnificent 32-feet tall silver and blue Christmas tree in the hotel lobby.
The event gathered notable figures including SM Hotels and Conventions Corp. President Elizabeth Sy, Cebu Governor Pam Baricuatro, and Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival. They were joined by hotel General Manager Ann Olalo, SMHCC Executive Vice President Peggy Angeles, and Radisson Hotel Group's Chief Development Officer for Asia Pacific, Ramzy Fenianos. The ambiance was set by the angelic voices of the Cebu Normal University (CNU) Chorale under choirmaster Darlane Yap.
A formal anniversary dinner followed in the Sta. Maria Ballroom, where guests enjoyed a meticulously crafted six-course menu by French Chef Romuald Marie and his culinary team.
Beyond Celebration: A Commitment to Community
During the program, GM Ann Olalo highlighted one of the hotel's impactful Corporate Social Responsibility projects named "Skills Behind Walls." This initiative offers basic housekeeping training to qualified residents of the Cebu City Jail's Women’s Ward. To ensure effective learning, the hotel has replicated a standard guest room within the jail facility. This allows trainees to practice their skills during the 100-hour program, with the goal of potential employment at the hotel upon their release.
The gala's entertainment was a showcase of Filipino talent, featuring performances by the Cebu Philharmonic Orchestra under conductor Jiovanni Tabada, tenor Arman Ferrer, soprano Sheila Valderrama with the CNU Chorale, and a spectacular ballet piece by Krislynne Buri and Renzen Arboleda of Alice Reyes Dance Philippines.

Meanwhile, the Tambuli Seaside Resort and Spa blended anniversary cheers with holiday spirit as it celebrated its 6th anniversary. The centerpiece was the lighting of its distinctive, one-of-a-kind bamboo Christmas tree.
Leading the ceremony were resort VIPs: Chairman Gerard Tan and his wife Hazel (Treasurer of Tytan Properties), President and Congressman Sonny Lagon, Finance Controller Hans Geremy Tan, and General Manager Eya Shrimski.
Set against its iconic seaside landscape, the celebration emphasized local culture.
