Cebu Pacific Bolsters Fleet with New A320neo for Holiday Rush
In a strategic move to accommodate the surge in passenger traffic, Cebu Pacific has announced the acquisition of a brand new Airbus A320neo aircraft. The narrow-body jet arrived in Manila on November 11, 2025, directly from the Airbus facility in Toulouse, France, marking a significant addition to the carrier's operational capacity just as the peak holiday travel season approaches.
Fleet Expansion and Modernization
This delivery is particularly notable as it represents the airline's first A320neo and the fourth new aircraft received this year. Earlier in 2025, Cebu Pacific had already taken delivery of three larger Airbus A330neo aircraft, signaling an aggressive fleet modernization campaign. The carrier has confirmed that it expects three more aircraft deliveries in the coming months as part of its long-term strategy.
Enhancing Travel Accessibility for Filipinos
Xander Lao, the President and Chief Commercial Officer of Cebu Pacific (CEB), emphasized the timing and importance of this new asset. He stated that this latest delivery helps ensure they have enough capacity to serve passengers looking to fly home or discover new destinations this holiday season. We're committed to making travel more accessible and convenient, especially during this time of year when more Filipinos take to the skies, Lao added. The new A320neo will be deployed across CEB's network, supporting both its domestic routes and regional international operations, thereby strengthening its commitment to providing safe, reliable, and accessible air travel.
