The festive spirit shone brightly in Cebu as Seda Ayala Center Cebu officially ushered in the holiday season with its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. The event, held amidst the city's dazzling lights and bustling shopping rush, carried the inspiring nationwide theme for Seda properties: "The Joy That Brings Us Together."

A Celebration of Light and Community Spirit

Cluster General Manager Gwen Dela Cruz opened the evening's ceremonies with a message of hope and resilience. She dedicated the event to communities across the Philippines affected by the recent earthquake and typhoon. "Even in the most difficult of times, there is always a hidden blessing and a light that shines," Dela Cruz shared. Following her words, the hotel's iconic Christmas tree, a tradition since 2018, was illuminated in the lobby, decorated elegantly in ivory and gold. This same symbolic tree design is displayed in Seda hotel lobbies across the country.

The ceremony was led by key officials including AyalaLand Hospitality Head of Marketing and Commercial Roshan Nandwani, Financial Controller Ruben Bancaya, and Director of Human Resources Bobot Codoy.

Heartwarming Stories and Holiday Cheer

The celebration moved to the Sampaguita Ballroom, where guests enjoyed music and heartfelt stories. Beyond the merriment, Seda highlighted its commitment to community upliftment by showcasing its partnerships with Smile Train and Gasa sa Gugma. These organizations provide life-changing cleft surgeries for children and compassionate care for indigent elderly residents, respectively.

Director of Sales Valerie Ann Frias and Sales Manager Jason Cabuguas also presented the hotel's special holiday offerings. These include:

  • Festive stay packages and holiday dining experiences at Misto restaurant.
  • Exclusive Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve packages featuring festive dinner buffets.
  • Access to the hotel's grand 2026 New Year's countdown celebration at the Grand Ballroom, which will feature cocktails, charcuterie, live music, and toasts.

A Festive Message to Cap the Evening

AyalaLand Hospitality Head Roshan Nandwani concluded the evening with a warm, festive message. "Thank you for welcoming us into your days, your celebrations and now your Christmas," Nandwani said. "Your strength and spirit remind us why community will always be at the heart of who we are."

The event successfully blended holiday cheer with a profound sense of community, setting a tone of togetherness and hope for the season in Cebu.
