Tambuli Resort Celebrates 6th Year & Tree of Hope Lighting in Lapu-Lapu
Tambuli Resort Marks 6th Anniversary with Tree of Hope

Tambuli Seaside Resort and Spa in Lapu-Lapu City marked a significant double celebration in November 2025, blending its sixth anniversary with the symbolic lighting of its Christmas Tree of Hope.

A Celebration of Culture and Community

The event, held under the theme "Christmas, Culture and Community," gathered unit owners, guests, business partners, local vendors, and community members. The festivities aimed to showcase local culture and foster a strong sense of togetherness.

Highlights of the celebration included:

  • Lively holiday performances by the CNU Rondalla and Chorale.
  • Cultural dances presented by the CNU Kudyapi Dance Troupe.
  • A vibrant Tambuli Community Market featuring handcrafted products and local food from Cebuano vendors.

A Message of Resilience and Hope

With the beautifully decorated Tree of Hope as a backdrop, Tambuli General Manager Estrella “Eya” Shrimski addressed the attendees. Her message reflected on the recent challenges faced by local communities, including an earthquake and a typhoon.

"There were days of uncertainty, disruption and worry. But despite the disasters, we saw the strength of the Filipino people. We saw families and neighbors supporting one another, and communities standing together in quiet courage. It is this hope that carried us to the present," Shrimski stated.

The Tree of Hope itself was adorned with elements representing Lapu-Lapu City's culture, such as guitars, native decor, and symbols of pot-making, turning it into a testament to local heritage.

Leadership and Shared Spirit

The event was graced by key figures from the resort and the city government, underscoring the partnership between the private sector and the local community. Notable attendees included Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Cindy King-Chan, Tambuli chairman Gerard Tan, and Tambuli president, Rep. Sonny Lagon.

Also present were Lapu-Lapu City Tourism head Garry Lao, Tytans Properties and Development treasurer Hazel Tan, former councilor Queenie Amman, and General Manager Shrimski.

The sixth-anniversary celebration successfully concluded with gatherings, live entertainment, and shared moments of joy, officially ushering in the holiday season for the resort and its community. The Tree of Hope stands as a lasting symbol of resilience, offering comfort to those in recovery and reminding all to be grateful for blessings received.
