Cebu City police have obtained a lead in the shooting of a 36-year-old graphic artist early Saturday, June 27, 2026, on Carlock Street, Barangay San Nicolas Proper. The victim, identified only by the alias 'France,' is in stable condition at a private hospital.

Police Confident of Arrest

Police Lieutenant Colonel Franco Rodulf Oriol, Deputy City Director for Administration of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), stated that investigators from Sawang Calero Police Station 6 are conducting a thorough investigation. Oriol declined to release further details to avoid compromising the operation but expressed confidence that the suspect will be arrested in the coming days.

CCTV Footage Shows Attack

CCTV footage from the area shows the suspect already sitting on his motorcycle while waiting for the victim to pass. The victim's live-in partner passed by first, followed by France, who was carrying a plastic bag. As France walked by, the suspect quickly followed and shot him before fleeing on his motorcycle.
