A dialysis technician was unable to report for duty after his motorcycle was hit by a flatbed truck that crashed into him from behind along the national highway in Barangay Lipata, Minglanilla, around 5:00 AM on Friday, May 22, 2026.
Incident Details
Christian Junzon, 29, a resident of Minglanilla, sustained minor injuries but is in stable condition. He was on his way to a private hospital in Cebu City for his 6:00 AM shift when the accident occurred.
According to Junzon, he had stopped at a red light when the truck, driven by alias Jomarie, an adult from Bacolod City, failed to brake in time and rear-ended his motorcycle.
Rescue and Aftermath
Junzon was pinned under the truck but was quickly rescued by bystanders who witnessed the incident. Both parties agreed to settle the matter at the Minglanilla Police Station, with no criminal charges filed. Jomarie assured that he would cover all medical expenses and the cost of repairing Junzon's damaged motorcycle.
