The United States has spent an estimated $29 billion on its ongoing war against Iran, according to a senior Pentagon official on Tuesday. This figure is $4 billion higher than the previous estimate of $25 billion reported last month.
Breakdown of Costs
The new total includes additional expenses for repairing and replacing equipment, as well as operational military costs. The Pentagon has not immediately clarified how the $29 billion figure was calculated.
Previous Estimates
In March, Reuters reported that the US spent at least $11.3 billion in the first six days of the conflict, which was initiated under President Donald Trump.
These rising costs highlight the financial burden of the prolonged military engagement, with analysts closely monitoring further escalations.
