Lanao del Norte Police Receive 4 New Patrol Vehicles

The Lanao del Norte Police Provincial Office (LDNPPO) has significantly bolstered its operational capabilities with the addition of four brand-new patrol vehicles. The official turnover ceremony was held on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Camp Major Eduardo Gallego located in Pigcarangan village, Tubod.

Blessing and Distribution of New Assets

Leading the event was Police Colonel Leo Sua, the provincial director of LDNPPO. In a ceremony that underscored the community and spiritual dimensions of police service, Fr. Andy Macas, the parish priest of Saint Joseph Husband of Mary church, blessed the new vehicles. He offered prayers for the safety of police personnel and for the effective use of the assets in their law enforcement duties.

Strategic Deployment for Enhanced Mobility

Colonel Sua emphasized that the acquisition of the four patrol vehicles is a strategic investment. The primary goals are to improve operational mobility, ensure faster response to incidents, enhance overall law enforcement operations, and increase police visibility within local communities. This direct presence is seen as crucial for crime prevention and building public trust.

The newly acquired vehicles were distributed to the following units:

  • The Municipal Police Station (MPS) of Poona Piagapo
  • The Municipal Police Station (MPS) of Sapad
  • The Municipal Police Station (MPS) of Kauswagan
  • The Lanao del Norte Police Provincial Office (LDNPPO) headquarters

Part of Broader Modernization Efforts

Colonel Sua advised the recipient units to maintain the vehicles properly and utilize them to their fullest potential in serving their respective communities. This distribution is not an isolated event but a highlighted component of the Philippine National Police's (PNP) continuing modernization program. It specifically focuses on enhancing mobility assets to strengthen frontline police services across the nation.

The provision of these resources is expected to empower police stations in the province, enabling them to patrol more effectively, reach remote areas, and respond to emergencies with greater speed and reliability.
