Liloan 'bad boy' arrested for gun possession, prior drug case

A 35-year-old man known as a 'bad boy' in his neighborhood was arrested by police for carrying a firearm on Monday evening, June 29, 2026, in Sityo Landing, Barangay Catarman, Liloan town.

Suspect identified as delivery driver

The suspect was identified as Jerry Caballero, a mineral water delivery driver and resident of Barangay Poblacion, Liloan. Confiscated from him was a homemade .38 revolver containing two live bullets.

According to Police Senior Master Sergeant Nelson Sadile, investigator of the Liloan Police Station, officers quickly responded after residents complained about Caballero brandishing his weapon.

Suspect known for prior arrests

Sadile disclosed that Caballero had long been a source of alarm in the area due to his habitual carrying of firearms and physically abusing his live-in partner. Police also confirmed that Caballero had been arrested in December 2018 for illegal drug selling. He was released in December 2019 through plea bargaining.
