PDEA-7 Dismantles Drug Den in Quiot, Cebu City

Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 7, together with the Regional Special Enforcement Team and Labangon Police Station 10, successfully dismantled a drug den in Sitio San Isidro, Barangay Quiot, Cebu City, on Monday evening, May 18, 2026.

Details of the Operation

The raid took place at around 6:28 p.m., leading to the arrest of two brothers who allegedly operated the drug den. PDEA 7 Director Joel Plaza identified the suspects as alias Adrian, 25, and alias Marvin, 21. Also arrested was their cousin, alias Ryan, 21. All three were unemployed.

Authorities seized 15 grams of suspected shabu packed in sachets, with an estimated market value of P102,000. Also recovered were buy-bust money and various drug paraphernalia.

Background and Surveillance

Leia Alcantara, information officer of PDEA 7, said the brothers had been under case buildup and surveillance for two weeks after the agency received a tip from a reliable source.

Alcantara added that the group could sell between 15 to 20 grams of shabu every week.

Police background investigation revealed that alias Ryan had previously been arrested in 2023 for a similar drug case but was released after serving his sentence.

Legal Proceedings

The seized evidence has been submitted to the PDEA 7 Laboratory for chemical analysis. The suspects are temporarily detained at the PDEA 7 detention facility in Barangay Lahug, Cebu City.

Appropriate charges will be filed against the arrested individuals for selling illegal drugs and maintaining a drug den.
