Comelec partners with SM City Zamboanga for voter registration hub
Comelec-SM partnership brings voter registration to mall

The Commission on Elections (Comelec)-Zamboanga City has partnered with SM City Zamboanga to bring voter registration services closer to the public. From May 5 to 9, 2026, eligible voters can register at the Vinta Market on the Upper Ground Level of SM City Zamboanga, operating from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Expanding voter access

This initiative is part of Comelec's continued effort to make essential government services more accessible. By setting up a registration hub in a high-traffic location like SM City Zamboanga, the commission aims to encourage more Filipinos, especially first-time voters, transferees, and those needing record reactivation, to participate in the democratic process.

Convenience for mallgoers

Shoppers and mall visitors can easily integrate this civic duty into their daily routines without traveling far or waiting in long lines at traditional registration centers. The partnership between Comelec and SM City Zamboanga reinforces their shared commitment to civic engagement and nation-building.
