The Bacolod City Government has implemented a significant increase in the monthly allowance for its local uniformed personnel, a move aimed at boosting morale and operational support for the city's frontliners in safety and security.

Effective this year, more than 1,000 personnel from three key agencies will see their monthly allowance rise from P1,500 to P2,000. The increase covers members of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP). Mayor Greg Gasataya announced the enhancement, framing it as a tangible expression of the city's gratitude.
"You all carry the weight of our safety, for which we are deeply thankful," Mayor Gasataya stated. He emphasized that this action is part of the local government's sustained commitment to recognizing and supporting all uniformed personnel serving the community.
