Davao City 2026 Business Permit Renewal Schedule

The City Government of Davao has officially released the schedule and venue details for the renewal of Mayor's Permits for the year 2026. Business owners across the city are urged to complete their renewal applications within the designated period to avoid financial penalties.

Renewal Schedule and Processing Sites

The renewal period is set from January 5 to 31, 2026. Processing will be available from Mondays to Saturdays. The primary venues will be the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) Building and the Almendras Gym, operating from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

To serve businesses in outlying districts, the city has established additional satellite processing centers with varying hours:

  • Gaisano Grand Citygate Mall — 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Calinan, Bunawan, Toril, and Tugbok — 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Paquibato, Marilog, and Baguio Districts — 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

District-to-Venue Assignment

The city has assigned specific processing sites for each district to streamline operations:

  • Poblacion District: SP Building
  • Talomo and Agdao Districts: Almendras Gym
  • Buhangin District: Gaisano Grand Citygate Mall
  • Calinan District: Calinan Gym
  • Baguio District: Baguio District Treasury Office
  • Tugbok District: Tugbok District Treasury Office
  • Bunawan District: Bunawan District Treasury Office
  • Paquibato District: Paquibato District Treasury Office

For convenience, the city also reminded business owners that they can process their permit renewal fees online through the Land Bank of the Philippines. The physical permit can be claimed after submitting all required documents and completing the payment.

Avoid Penalties and Ensure Business Continuity

Maribel Paguican, the officer-in-charge of the Business Bureau, strongly advised all business operators to renew their permits between January 2 and 31, 2026. She issued a clear warning that late filings will be subject to a 25 percent penalty on the total fees due.

"We are not preventing anyone from renewing. But they will incur penalties and charges if they file beyond January 31," Paguican stated in an interview with the City Information Office.

She emphasized that renewing on time is crucial for uninterrupted business operations. Early renewal allows more time to resolve any potential documentary deficiencies, such as missing requirements from the Office of the City Building Official (OCBO). Paguican also advised owners of establishments that have ceased operations to formally file for business retirement with the bureau.

Looking Back at 2025's Renewal Drive

The Business Bureau reported a successful renewal period for 2025. As of January 22, 2025, the city had recorded 37,135 permit renewals, which represented approximately 80 percent of the total expected applications. The remaining renewals were anticipated to be completed before the deadline. This figure indicated an increase compared to the same period in the previous year, 2024.

The city government's structured approach, with multiple accessible sites and clear deadlines, aims to facilitate a smooth and efficient process for Davao's vibrant business community in 2026.
