Police in Lanao del Norte arrested two suspects and confiscated approximately P82,960 worth of shabu (methamphetamine) in two separate buy-bust operations conducted on the evening of July 2, 2026, authorities reported on Friday, July 3.
Suspects Identified in Lanao del Norte Drug Operations
Police Colonel Leo Sua, provincial police director, identified the arrested individuals by their aliases as Jon, 46, and Edoy, 29. The operations were carried out in the towns of Linamon and Lala.
Jon was apprehended at 10:01 p.m. in Purok 8, Samburon village, Linamon, after selling a sachet of shabu for P4,760 to a police officer acting as a poseur-buyer. Authorities seized a total of 8.7 grams of shabu from him, valued at an estimated P59,160.
Second Arrest Yields Additional Drugs
Earlier that evening, at 9:28 p.m., Edoy was arrested in Purok Molave, Maranding village, Lala, after selling a sachet of shabu for P680 to an undercover policeman. From Edoy, police confiscated approximately 3.50 grams of shabu worth an estimated P23,800.
Both suspects are now detained and face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, according to Sua.

Sua emphasized that the police force remains steadfast in identifying and arresting individuals engaged in the illegal drug trade, ensuring all operations are conducted lawfully and with full respect for human rights. He urged the public to continue supporting law enforcement by reporting illegal drug activities in their communities to help achieve a safer and drug-free Lanao del Norte.
