Davao de Oro Leaders Bring Christmas Cheer to Children, Hospital Patients
Mabanglo, Zamora-Mabanglo Lead Christmas Outreach in Davao de Oro

In a heartwarming display of public service, the top officials of Davao de Oro province dedicated their Christmas Day to bringing smiles to the faces of their constituents, focusing on children and hospital patients.

First-Ever Paskohan Para sa Kabataan Lights Up Capitol Grounds

On December 25, 2025, the Provincial Government of Davao de Oro, under the leadership of Governor Raul Mabanglo, launched its inaugural Paskohan Para sa Kabataan event at the Capitol Grounds. The festive gathering was designed to create a memorable Christmas experience for the province's youth and their families.

Children enjoyed a full day of entertainment and treats, including lively games, free ice cream and cotton candy, and performances by clowns and bubble artists. The presence of colorful mascots added to the magical atmosphere, turning the government center into a playground of holiday joy.

This landmark event underscored a clear commitment from the provincial leadership to prioritize the welfare and happiness of children, ensuring their Christmas celebration was both meaningful and unforgettable.

Spreading Comfort with Jollibee Christmas Lunch in Hospitals

Beyond the public celebration, Governor Mabanglo and Congresswoman Maricar Zamora-Mabanglo personally spearheaded a separate but equally significant outreach effort. The couple organized a special Jollibee Christmas lunch that was delivered to patients, their watchers, and medical staff across four provincial hospitals.

This initiative brought a taste of festive normalcy to those who were compelled to spend the holiday within medical facilities. Recipients expressed profound gratitude for the gesture, noting that it allowed them to feel the genuine spirit of Christmas—a time of warmth, sharing, and community—despite their challenging circumstances.

Christmas Embodied as a Time of Service and Compassion

Through these dual Christmas Day programs, Governor Mabanglo and Congresswoman Zamora-Mabanglo powerfully emphasized their governing philosophy. They framed the holiday not just as a celebration, but as a time for active service, generous sharing, and intentionally reaching out to community members who are most in need.

Their actions demonstrated a hands-on approach to leadership, using their platform to directly deliver joy and comfort. These efforts reinforced the message that true public service extends to every sector of society, especially during seasons dedicated to peace and goodwill.
