Pampanga's Pineda Family Brings Joy, ₱15K Aid to 52 Kids with Cancer
Pineda Family Gifts Pampanga Kids with Cancer a Day of Joy

In a heartwarming pre-Christmas gesture, 52 children fighting cancer and liver disease experienced a day of pure joy and received substantial financial support, thanks to the initiative of Pampanga's First Family.

A Day of Unforgettable Joy at Pradera

The children, along with their families, were treated to a special outing at Pradera Theme Park in Lubao. The event, organized by the Pineda family, was designed to let the young patients forget their medical struggles, even if just for a day. The kids reveled in the simple pleasures of childhood, enjoying arcade games, boat rides, airplane and swing attractions, and the classic carousel.

Their faces lit up during a lively parade featuring beloved cartoon characters. The day's festivities culminated with a spectacular musical fountain show and a dazzling fireworks display, painting the night sky with color and wonder.

More Than Fun: Tangible Support for Families

The celebration was about more than just momentary happiness. The Pineda family demonstrated deep compassion by providing significant material and financial assistance to ease the families' burdens. Each child received ₱15,000 in cash to help cover medical costs, particularly chemotherapy expenses.

On top of that, every child was given a ₱2,000 allowance for food and souvenirs, along with personalized packages of milk and other food items they had requested. In a commitment to ongoing support, the Provincial Capitol will also provide an additional ₱15,000 quarterly subsidy to each patient.

Messages of Hope and Solidarity

Vice Governor Dennis "Delta" Pineda explained that the activity aimed to assist with the daunting expenses of treatment while giving the children a precious respite from pain. Meanwhile, Governor Lilia "Nanay" Pineda offered words of strength to the parents, urging them never to lose hope in their children's fight.

"She assured them that they are not alone in this battle, as her family and the provincial government are always ready to support and help with their needs," the governor's message emphasized.

The event, held on December 17, 2025, was also attended by key provincial officials, including PSWDO Officer Fe Manarang, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Dax Tidula, DPMMH Chief Fluer Zapanta, and Nanay Partylist Secretary General Nicolette Henson, showcasing a united front of local government support for its most vulnerable residents.
