A 32-year-old man, notorious as the "bad boy" in his community, has been detained in jail after being caught with an unlicensed firearm on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. The incident occurred in Purok 3 Gumamela, East Binabag, Barangay Tayud, Consolacion City.
Suspect Identified and Charges Filed
The suspect has been identified as Aljon Cuajao Lauron, a single man and resident of the area. He is now facing charges for violating Republic Act 10591, also known as the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act. This law strictly regulates the ownership and use of firearms in the Philippines to ensure public safety.
Police Action Prompted by Neighbor Complaints
According to Police Lt. Col. Verniño Noserale, the chief of the Consolacion Police Station, authorities received numerous complaints from Lauron's neighbors regarding his troublesome behavior. Residents reported that he frequently carried weapons, causing fear and anxiety in the community. In response, police swiftly took action to address the situation.
Seizure of Firearm and Arrest Details
During the operation, law enforcement officers apprehended Lauron while he was in possession of a .38 caliber revolver loaded with two bullets. Noserale noted that the suspect was caught off guard by the arrival of the operatives, leaving him unable to flee or resist arrest. This quick response highlights the effectiveness of community-police collaboration in maintaining order.

In light of this arrest, Police Lt. Col. Noserale has encouraged other residents of Consolacion not to hesitate in reporting any suspicious or disruptive individuals to the authorities immediately.
