On the afternoon of Monday, February 9, 2026, in Purok 5, Looc 2, Barangay Bato, Toledo City, the body of Edgar Sy Honoridez, a senior citizen who was legally separated, was discovered. The grim find was made by his neighbor, Denmark Alferez, while he was repairing a water pump in front of Honoridez's residence.
Neighbor's Alert and Investigation
Alferez was drawn to the scene due to a strong and unusual odor emanating from the victim's room. Upon investigation, he found Honoridez lying on the bed, with the body already in an advanced state of decomposition.
