PNP-HPG Spots Two Luxury Vehicles Linked to Former Congressman Zaldy Co in Albay Province
The Philippine National Police – Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) has reported the sighting of two high-end vehicles allegedly connected to former Congressman Zaldy Co in the province of Albay. According to PNP-HPG Director Brig. Gen. Hansel Marantan, the two vehicles were spotted in the area and are currently under investigation, with a focus on this specific province.
Details of the Vehicles and Ongoing Investigation
In a later statement, the HPG officer detailed the vehicles that were sighted: a Fortuner and a Cadillac. This discovery follows a previous incident where the HPG uncovered approximately 14 luxury vehicles allegedly linked to Co in a condominium in Taguig City. Of those, 12 were subsequently turned over to the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI).
Currently, according to HPG Director Marantan, authorities are actively searching for ten more vehicles connected to the former lawmaker. The investigation is part of broader efforts to trace assets and ensure accountability in ongoing cases.
The sighting in Albay highlights the expanding scope of the probe, as law enforcement agencies work to locate and secure all vehicles tied to the former congressman. The PNP-HPG continues to coordinate with local units in Albay to gather more information and verify the ownership and status of these luxury cars.
