Over 500 individuals were arrested across Central Visayas during a three-day Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operations (Sacleo) conducted from June 26 to 29, 2026. The operation was part of the Department of the Interior and Local Government's (DILG) Safer Cities Initiative.
Drug-Related Arrests and Seizures
The Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 apprehended 211 suspected drug personalities and confiscated 2,380.13 grams of suspected shabu, valued at over PHP 16.1 million.
Firearms and Wanted Persons
In the campaign against unlicensed firearms, 27 individuals were arrested and 81 weapons were seized. Additionally, police captured 10 most wanted persons and 70 other wanted individuals through the implementation of arrest warrants.
Illegal Gambling Crackdown
A total of 172 gamblers were arrested in operations against illegal gambling, with most involved in swertres, card games, and hantak.
All arrested individuals are currently detained in various police stations and have been charged in court accordingly.
